Grandchildren

The Johnsons

A few major changes since our last reunion:

I "reprioritized not retired" in 2009, and rather than working full time as director and therapist at the Samaritan Counseling Center, I'm working 2-3 days each week seeing clients, and happy not to be director. Tom retired in the fall of 2009 and is enjoying lots of golf!

We now have two grandchildren in Oregon and three in Vermont so we travel from one side of the country to the other FREQUENTLY, still living in Evanston to avoid traveling through O'Hare.

The picture above was taken this spring for a church directory and we are surprised we like it!

I'm hoping to be at the reunion this September.

Ann and Family

The photo above was taken at St. Andrews, Scotland in August, 2006-- on our 39th wedding anniversary.  Since then a grandson has joined the family, and another grandchild is expected on election day.

Five years ago I began working as the director of the Samaritan Counseling Center in our Evanston-Winnetka neighborhood.  I've copied below the biography from the website--www.northshoresamaritan.org-- to give an employment life update.

Ann Ohlrogge Johnson, M. Div. LCPC, LMFT,is an ordained pastor in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) as well as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She serves as Executive Director of the Samaritan Counseling Center and works with individuals, couples and families in both short term solution focused counseling and longer term psycho dynamically oriented therapy. With individuals Ann particularly enjoys helping clients with issues surrounding individuation, relationship questions and spiritual growth. Her work with couples and families includes pre-marital counseling, communication skills training, both short and long term marital therapy, and family therapy with children and their parents. She is a graduate of the Family Institute of Chicago, the Pastoral Psychotherapy Training Institute of Lutheran General Hospital and Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. Ann is a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Fellow of the American Association of Pastoral Counselors.
