In 1966 I obtained an airplane
pilot license and was the part owner of an Aeronca Champ. I
graduated from Purdue University in 1968 with a BS in Civil
Engineering. Donna K Higginbotham and I were married the summer of
1968 and moved to Colorado where I worked for Public Service Company
of Colorado. I have worked for PSCo for almost 40 years designing,
building and operating natural gas distribution systems. In 1976
Donna and I built a house in the foothills west of Denver. We
still live there. We have two daughters and three grandchildren.
I enjoy jeeping, hunting and fishing. About 12 years ago I
discovered sailing. I have sailed extensively in British Columbia,
Mexico, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean. On one such trip I met some
friends in Cartagena, Columbia and sailed to Panama City via the
Canal.
I also collect old cars (1952 MGTD, 1953 Jeep, 1956 MGA, 1956 356
Porsche, and a 1970 MGB). I plan to retire from Xcel Energy
(current owner of PSCO) early in 2008.
