After High
School I attended IU in Bloomington where I met my husband, George
Thomas. We were married in 1965 and moved to Arlington, Va. for the
remainder of his Army enlistment. Our first daughter, Lara, was
born in 1968.
Upon
completion of George's tour of duty, we moved to Dayton, Ohio where
our 2nd daughter, Amanda, was born in 1971. Once Amanda started
Kindergarden, I went to work as a Photgraphic Artist and ran the
photo lab for a prominent Dayton photographer. I worked with him
for 15 years until he passed away. I then started my own business
as a negative retouching artist.
George
started out working for Fridgedair in the IT department which was
owned by GM. He soon moved over to GM, then to GMAC which
eventually was purchased by EDS. While employed by EDS, we moved to
Plano, Texas in 1997. During this time of transition, I retired.
George continued to work for EDS until his retirement in 2008.
We are
thoughly enjoying retirement in Plano, Tx.
