Since our
last reunion there have been many changes in my life. My husband
and mother passed away within two weeks in May of 2009. Recently I
sold my homes in Tucson and Port Ludlow, Washington and moved to a
condo across Puget Sound in Edmonds. I can walk to everything and
enjoy sunset views of the Sound and the Olympic mountains.
After 27
years I am still actively engaged with my clients in my investment
advisory practice, Morse Financial Group.
I still
enjoy international travel and earlier this year I met one of my
sorority sisters in Paris for a few days and my stepson and his wife
in Venice. Paprika (the cat) continues to share his feline life of
luxury with me.
I'm
looking forward to our Reunion and catching up with classmates.

Dear Classmates,
Since graduating, I am now in my third life! During my first life,
I graduated from Purdue and taught third grade at Burtsfield School
in W. L. for three years, earned my Master's from Purdue and then
moved to the San Francisco area where I taught second grade in
Moraga, CA, for seven years.
Following a year living in Holland and another one living in the
Iranian desert, I returned to the Krannert School at Purdue and
earned my MBA in 1978. This began my second life! I joined Chevron
USA as a corporate financial analyst and spent seven years with
Chevron in Seattle, San Francisco and Anchorage.
In 1986 I left corporate life and started my own personal financial
investment advisory practice. In my third life, I have had the
pleasure of working with wonderful clients in seventeen states to
help them accumulate wealth, structure their retirements, and help
them pass their assets on to heirs and organizations that have
played a significant role in their lives.
In 1992 I remarried and live with my husband, Wally Cole, and my
cat, Paprika, in Tucson, AZ, in the winter and in Port Ludlow, WA,
in the summer. It is truly the best of both worlds and the only
downside is the time spent on airplanes! I have no plans to retire
because I am having so much fun working with my clients.
Along the way, volunteering became an important part of my life. I
served as president of the local Purdue Club of Puget Sound, then as
a Board Director from the west coast region to the Purdue Alumni
Association. In 2001 I was elected vice-president of the Purdue
Alumni Association and served six years in the officer chairs. It
was a great experience and one that I felt honored to be selected
for. I have also served my sorority, Delta Gamma, as a trustee of
the Delta Gamma Foundation from 2005-2007.
Sadly I lost my Dad, Fred Morse, in 2004. His dedication to his
students at Purdue for over 39 years lives on through an endowed
scholarship in the School of Mechanical Engineering that I set up to
help future leaders from Purdue. My Mom, Eleanor Morse, is 92 years
young and lives at University Place in W.L. My sister, Linda Morse,
retired from 42 years of teaching and counseling last year and she
lives in W.L.
I look forward to seeing many of you at the reunion and reading the
updates on those who are not able to attend.
