Mike and I
have downsized after 35 years enjoying our home. We overlook the
Train Depot and Reihle plaza.
Enjoying
our grandchildren and travel. My sister Marty Schilling lost her
fight with breast cancer two years ago! I appreciated many good
notes and emails from classmates. My Dad died a year ago! But he was
fortunate to have a healthy mind and body until a heart attack and
died in two days. Good life and a good death.
We are
looking forward to the reunion and seeing some classmates who are
returning for the first time!

I have lived in West
Lafayette most of my life and love it. After two years at Queens
College in Charlotte,N.C.,I returned to WL and graduated from
Purdue. Lived in Atlanta for 4 years teaching and then as Director
of Marketing for the Atlanta Merchandise Mart.
Decided to come home and was lucky to begin a 36 year career as a
fundraiser at Purdue. Retiring this June with wonderful friendships
and great memories of travel in the US, Europe and Asia with Purdue
donors. Traveling with the Glee Club in Europe as well as across
this country was always a treat. Being involved with the Purdue
astronauts events when we had all of them return to campus. Neil
Armstrong and Gene Cernan the first and last men on the moon!!!
It has been a remarkable journey in the world of fundraising and the
life of Purdue. I have been apart of three major capital campaigns
and the last one raised $1.3 billion.
My assignment to coordinate the fundraising, planning, design,
furnishings and artwork and Hall of Spirit for the Dauch Alumni
Center was a highlight of my years at Purdue. If you stop in you
can see the Tamara Morse Library!!!!
My family has been the greatest joy for me. Mike and I have been
married 30 years this December. You may remember him as the
basketball guard and golfer in the class of 1962.
We have raised Jeff and Doug from Mike's first marriage and our son
Michael. Jeff is an attorney and lives in Ft. Wayne with his wife
Nina and their three children. Doug is a musician and lives with his
wife Carman in Nashville, TN with their three children.
Michael is finishing his Purdue degree and plans to live in West
Lafayette.
My parents are living at University Place in West Lafayette and
enjoy dining with Tamara's mother Eleanor!!! Dad is in his 90th
year and finished his second book. I hope the genes hold for me. My
brother George is in a group home near Traverse City MI and suffers
from schizophrenia. My sister Marty lives in West Lafayette with her
daughter Kate who graduates from Purdue next May.
Mike and I are looking forward to travel. We are active with the
Obama campaign and several other candidates this year.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion and remembering the
fun and getting reacquainted.
