Hello all, I hope the reunion goes well. Enjoy each other. I retired from my Tucson law practice in 2012; my wife Frances still practices. I am spending my time enjoying the many outdoor recreation opportunities here (primarily hiking and walking), and also enjoying my son, Jason, and four grandchildren (Ages 12, 11, 11, 8) who also live in Tucson. The kids are very active and help keep me active. It has been a difficult summer here with high heat and low rainfall, but a short drive to the top of our mountains (Mt. Lemmon - 9,000+ ft. el.) gives us a nice reprieve. Let's see, not much else has changed since my last update, except my daughter and her husband moved from San Diego to Vashon Is. WA three years ago, giving us a good reason to visit there in the summer (they visit here in the winter :-) Take care you all. I look forward to seeing pictures and updated information from the reunion! Bill

I am still living in Tucson, AZ, where I have
been since 1991, and am enjoying the many recreational opportunities
here, including regular year-around hiking and cycling, and some
backpacking. I live with my life partner, Frances, who is also my
law partner. I am not spending much time at the law office anymore,
preferring to spend extra time with my family, including 3 young
grandchildren, and enjoying nature. My son, Jason, lives here in
Tucson with his wife and 3 toddlers. My daughter, Livia, lives in
San Diego with her husband. She was married in April at a big family
celebration in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Unfortunately, my father,
David Bache, a long-time W.L. resident at 1500 Ravinia Road, was not
there since he passed away last year at age 87. I am healthy and
active, and am enjoying life. I will miss seeing everyone at the
reunion. Best wishes to you all. Bill

I lived and practiced law in
West Lafayette for 18 years after law school, then decided to escape
the Indiana weather and moved to Tucson, Arizona, where I have lived
since 1991. I still practice personal injury law, but I am gradually
reducing the time I spend in the office and am taking more time for
myself. I now work about 1/2 time. I still get a lot of satisfaction
from helping people through very difficult times, and protecting
their rights against big corporations and insurance companies. But
the biggest joy in my life comes from my family and friends, and my
outdoor activities. I am an avid bicyclist and hiker and make time
to do these things several times a week. Tucson is the perfect
environment for outdoor activity and that is why I live here.
I am single and have been for 15 years, but I do have a long-term
relationship with a great woman. I have been married twice and
neither one worked out, but I got a wonderful child from each
marriage. My son, Jason, is 35, and lives here in Tucson. He is
personal trainer. My daughter, Livia, is 27. She lives in Miami
Beach, where she works in marketing for an international hotel
company. I have very close relationships with both.
I am happy, healthy, and enjoy life. In addition to my family and
athletic activities, my interests are reading, food and wine,
cooking, fitness, photography, travel, the Spanish language, and
nature.
It is interesting that with all the people I have met and all the
friends I have made in my life, some of my current closest friends
are from West Lafayette. Mike Burdick from the class ahead of us,
and Kent Jacobs from our class, both live in Tucson and we share
many interests and activities. These friendships did not carry over
from high school; they started here in Tucson, later in life. There
is just something about people from West Lafayette High
School...............
